how to operate your blind

  • Raise or lower the blind by pulling downwards on the chain.
  • Do not allow the chain to rub against the fabric when you raise or lower the blind (such as pulling the chain at an angle across the face of the blind) as the fabric will fray over time. This is not covered by the warranty.
  • Do not lower the blind so far that the clear ball stopper on the chain hits the control unit, as this may break the control unit over time.
  • When opening a window, always pull the blind up first – do not push your hands around the blind as this may damage the fabric.

how to care for your blind

  • Surface dust should be removed with a duster or soft cloth (we recommend using a micro-cloth).
  • The fabric may also be wiped with a damp cloth. Use only water or a mild detergent.
  • On windy days, close windows or raise your blinds to prevent damage to the blind.

how to operate your blind

  • Tilting the slats – pull the tilt cords (closest to the outside of the blind) up or down to tilt the blind.
  •  Raising the blind – open the slats, pull the toggle with multiple cords (cords closest to the centre of the blind) down, then release the cords slowly – the blind will lock in place.
  • Lowering the blind – release the cord lock by pulling the cords towards the centre of the blind and slowly let the cords slide through your fingers.
  • Venetian blinds are not designed to be pulled up regularly. If the blind is pulled up and down regularly the cords may fray over time.
  • When opening a window, always pull the blind up first – do not push your hands through the slats as this will damage the blind.

  • Surface dust should be removed with a duster or soft cloth (we recommend using a micro-cloth).
  • Slats may also be wiped with a slightly damp cloth. For wooden venetian blinds be very careful not to get any moisture into the punched holes. Never use detergents or cleaners.
  • On windy days, close windows to prevent damage to the blinds.

  • Opening and closing the blind – turn the vanes so that they are fully open (90 degrees to the window) and then pull the cord one way to open the blind and the other way to close the blind.
  • When opening a window or sliding door behind your blind, always open the blind first – do not push your hands through the vanes as this may damage the blind.
