We do not sell ready made blinds or curtains, nor cut down ready made blinds. Our custom made blinds are guaranteed to meet the needs and preferences of every homeowner. Every single blind and curtain that Mr Blinds has produced is tailor-made to fit the height and width of the window where it will be placed. Since taking ownership of the business in 2013 we have invested heavily in the upgrade of all areas of the business. Of priority, of course, being the manufacturing area where have introduced an automated fabric cutting machine that ensures all roller blinds are cut square every time. At a cost of $140,000 there are only a handful of these in the country. In total, we have invested almost $500,000 in the latest systems, machinery and equipment over recent years, and have an ongoing programme to continually improve and develop our product. To ensure accuracy when measuring all of our consultants use laser measures. We have some of the most advanced systems and machinery in the New Zealand market and have invested significant time and effort into automating as much of our blind manufacturing process as possible. As a result, once a customer has signed off on the measurements provided, our system automatically adjusts for the brackets and the adjusted measurements are uploaded into our manufacturing process so that the blades, tubes and fabric are cut automatically by our machines without any manual measurement to ensure that the blinds are cut to the exact sizing requested.
